This scheme was introduced to provide financial assistance to Government servants at the time of retirement. The rate of grant has been revised with effect from 20th December, 2016 as follows:

This grant is paid directly to the applicant's personal bank account through bank transfer. This scheme has replaced the earlier Monthly Grant scheme in respect of invalidated/incapacitated Government servants.
However, cases running under the old Monthly Grant scheme (15-years) continued as per the terms and conditions already prescribed for it. Any case relating to a period prior to 1st July, 2010 shall be settled under the old Monthly Grant Rules.
It is clarified that the new rates shall apply only to those cases where retirement took place on or after 20th December, 2016, and where the subscription was deducted at the new rates.
